Hard Times Always End

There is a saying often heard in the streets of West Africa, especially Nigeria: “Every suffer get him own bus stop.”
It may sound simple, even humorous at first, but hidden inside those words is a deep truth about life. It’s a journey and like many others, there are moments when the road becomes rough, seasons when the weight feels too heavy, when the waiting feels too long and when the struggle feels endless. In those moments, it can seem like suffering has no destination and like the pain will last forever.
However, the wisdom of this saying reminds us of something important: every struggle has a stopping point.
Just like a bus traveling through a long route eventually reaches different stops, suffering also moves through stages. It may take time and the ride may feel uncomfortable, but it does not go on forever. The bus eventually slows down, doors eventually open and the passenger eventually steps off.
Many people quit their journey too early because they believe the bus will never stop. They think the hardship they are experiencing is permanent, but history and human experience tell us otherwise. Every storm runs out of rain and every night eventually meets the morning.
Sometimes the bus stop of suffering arrives in the form of an opportunity, as wisdom gained from hardship or as a breakthrough that only perseverance could produce. One way or another, the journey changes.
For immigrants starting over in new countries, for entrepreneurs building something from nothing, for families trying to survive difficult seasons, the road can feel very long. The sacrifices, the uncertainty and the constant pressure can make it seem like the struggle has no end.
Yet many people who eventually succeed will tell you something remarkable: the hardest part of their lives did not last forever. There was a turning point. A moment when things began to shift. A bus stop they did not see coming.
Suffering teaches patience, endurance and shapes character in ways comfort never can. While no one willingly chooses hardship, those who survive it often discover a strength within themselves they never knew existed.
So when life becomes difficult, remember this simple but powerful truth:Every suffer get its own bus stop.e journey may be hard right now, the road may be long, with the bus is still moving. Sooner or later, it will stop.
